Second grade has had an exceptional week!  We have completed our state’s Atlas screeners, started spelling test, attended the NED show, created simple machine in science and tackled even and odd number in math!! We are all looking forward to a long weekend and the Fair Field trip next week!  It's a Great Year for a Great Year💜💛

Class of 2026 - Yearbook is now selling senior ads! Reserve yours now!

Information and forms are going out today. Ads can be ordered online through the Walsworth website or through the forms. During parent/teacher conferences on Thursday, October 23, yearbook staff will be hosting an ad night from 4:00-6:00 for those who would like help with ad creation. For questions, please email rachel.york@concordschools.org.

CHS has recently implemented DEAR (Drop Everything And Read) time into our district. On Wednesdays, we invite our entire school community—students, teachers, and staff—to Drop Everything And Read. For just 10 minutes each Wednesday, we’ll pause our regular routine for silent, sustained reading. This initiative promotes literacy, builds a culture of reading, and encourages everyone to discover the joy of a good book. Our students have been actively moving through the library, checking out books, and are already requesting more DEAR time than we originally allotted. This means we need more books to offer to them. What we are asking from our community members and stakeholders is for book donations. Our goal is to see a book bin in each teacher's classroom to encourage students to read in their free time. We will be accepting donations of high school-appropriate books at both the high school library and the elementary school library.

NED’s Resiliency Ride came to Concord Elementary today! Our students enjoyed an uplifting program focused on Never giving up, Encouraging others, and Doing your best. It was an inspiring afternoon of learning and fun for all our elementary students! 💛💜

Today, students from CHS and CES Project Prevent attended a Regional Conference at Harding University. 🌟 They learned valuable lessons about what it means to become a Prevention Superhero—equipped to stand strong against tobacco and substance abuse. We are incredibly thankful for the dedicated adults and mentors who invest their time and passion to guide our youth toward making healthy choices. Together, we are building a safer, stronger future! 💜💛💪

Freshen Up Friday!! We are getting back in the groove of being on campus and always working to make things better. This morning involved Mr. York taking time to teach more students about procedures for taking care of our flags, and some of Mrs. Baker's students doing a little maintenance on our Spring landscaping to continue the growth of that project this year.

The Kindergarten classes have been busy making new friends, learning routines, exploring their classrooms, and discovering just how fun learning can be. We can already tell it’s going to be a wonderful year!

Concord School District's Special Education files for 2019 graduates will be available in the Special Education Office beginning June 1, 2025. Files may be picked up by a parent, guardian, or 18 year old student Monday through Thursday, June 1 - 30 from 8:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. Unclaimed files will be destroyed after June 30, 2025.
