Attention 7-9 graders:
Just wanted to let all 7th, 8th, and 9th grade students/parents know that they can go to my website and view the electives that they can choose from for the upcoming school year 2020-2021. Go to:
https://steventarver.wixsite.com/counselor-chronicle
These items will be located under "News" on the first page of the website. You can also view the high school master schedule under the "Events" tab. Look forward to seeing you all Monday night, from 5:00 to 7:00 for our "come and go" open house.

10th, 11th, 12th Graders:
Just wanted to let everyone know that we are excited to see all of you Monday night, high school grades 7-12, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. as a "come and go" open house. I just wanted to let 10th, 11th, and 12th graders know that we have sent the scheduling forms to your student/school email. These are the forms that we will use Monday night. This should give you all an advanced look at required and elective courses offered and a chance to start the request process by looking at the master schedule. I have also attached these forms and an explanation to my website at:
https://steventarver.wixsite.com/counselor-chronicle
The forms will be under "Events" on the first page of the website. Thanks Everyone!

Teachers are setting up rooms and putting safety precautions in place. We are ready to see our kids!

Things to consider....

Teachers reviewing content for virtual courses.

Concord Schools will be providing training sessions for its parents and students who have signed up for Concord Virtual Academy. This will be the time in which Chromebooks will be handed out to those who need them and students will learn how to access the online curriculum. The dates will be August 19th and 20th in the cafeteria. We have scheduled two days to allow for flexibility in schedules. You will only need to attend one day. The times will be 10:00-11:00 for high school and 11:00-12:00 for elementary for both days. We will be limiting the seating to student and one parent/guardian. Parents interested in enrolling their child in CVA can find the link on the District's website within the Re-entry Plan.

Concord Elementary will have its Open House next Tuesday August 11th from 5:00-7:00 PM. We are asking that only the student and one parent/guardian attend this function and everyone wear a mask while adhering to social distancing guidelines. Students will be provided with beginning of the school year paperwork as well as meet their teacher. We encourage all students both on-site and virtual to attend. This would also be the perfect opportunity for parents who have questions regarding virtual academy to meet with Mr. Fletcher.
Thank you

On August 10th, from 5:00-7:00 p.m., Concord High School will hold its annual Open House. In an effort to help practice social distancing, we are asking that only the student and one parent/guardian attend this function and everyone wear a mask. During this open house we will meet with grades 7-9 to select electives for their schedules for the upcoming school year. We will also take this opportunity to meet with grades 10-12 to discuss and develop schedules for the upcoming school year. Also, other items that will be available will be beginning of the school year paperwork, home computer use, whether your child will be on campus or off campus next school year, and other school related items. It is a “come and go” situation; just make sure to be here sometime between 5:00-7:00 p.m.

Another round of great flashback memories!!

We are ready to see our kids! Having major withdrawals.

Attention Graduating Seniors for the Class of 2020: there are about 14 of you all who have not filled out the senior exit information survey that Mr Tarver emailed you over a month ago. Much of that information will be used for the senior graduation ceremony at the end of July. Please fill that survey out as soon as possible. If, for some reason, you can't access that survey or you feel you never received the email, please email Mr. Tarver at steven.tarver@concordschools.org

Congratulations to Sarah Thomas and Annalise Cornett for being the recipients of the Rotary Club Scholarship of Cleburne County. We are very proud of you girls!
