English 12 completed their Beowulf projects this week. Pictured are some of the artistic renderings of Grendel and the dragon battled by Beowulf in the epic poem.
Congratulations to the Jr. High and Sr. High Chess Team! The Jr. High Chess team brought home the 1st place team trophy in the NAESC Chess Tournament. Team members are Justin Baldridge, Hunter Clark, Nathan Dazey, Uriah Fife, Dalton Green, Trent Miller.
The Sr. High team finished 4th. Team members are Gage Morgan, Ali Cornett, Eli Heigle, Jacob Weldon, Morgan Helms, Cole Morris, Bailey Spinks, Eli Tate.
Tomorrow’s the big day!!!! Everyone come out to support our Old Timers, Pee Wee Dancers, and Cheerleaders. It will be a night of fun and laughs I’m certain. You may be a big winner as well! Congratulations to Eli Miller, Destiny Jensen, Dana Chegue, Laci Allender, and Aaron Walls! They placed fourth at the Regional Tournament and qualified for the Quiz Bowl State Tournament on April 9th at UACCM. Congrats to their coach, Mrs. Cooper as well!!!

Fishing Tournament Update!!!
A huge shout-out to our local Dollar General (and specifically Julie Simpson) for providing our library with 100 new books to love! Concord Elementary students thank you!!!
Our school has lost to wonderful former foster grandmothers this year: Ms. Joyce Martin and Ms. Clara Penner. Thanks to everyone who donated books (or funds to purchase books) in memory of these wonderful ladies!
This week is G.U.I.D.E. for Life Week which celebrates the importance of social emotional learning! The Arkansas Department of Education has identified five guiding principles: GROWTH, UNDERSTANDING, INTERACTION, DECISIONS, and EMPATHY.
Today's principle is UNDERSTANDING:
This principle helps students know themselves and learn to self advocate for what they need.

* Make sure rules are clear
* Provide students with specific feedback about their behavior at home and school.

It’s that time of the year for Kindergarten and Preschool registration for the 2022-2023 school year!
This week is School Counselor Appreciation Week. We would like to take a moment to recognize and show our appreciation for our very own Mrs. Johnson. As many of you know, Mrs. Johnson was voted as the Elementary School Counselor of the Year for North Central Arkansas last year. This year she has taken on a new role as the K-12 counselor and has done a phenomenal job. We are truly blessed to have her guiding our students. Thank you Mrs. Johnson for all that you do for our students!
