This week is G.U.I.D.E. for Life Week which celebrates the importance of social emotional learning! The Arkansas Department of Education has identified five guiding principles: GROWTH, UNDERSTANDING, INTERACTION, DECISIONS, and EMPATHY. Today's principle is UNDERSTANDING: This principle helps students know themselves and learn to self advocate for what they need. Practice for students: * Make sure rules are clear * Provide students with specific feedback about their behavior at home and school. * Check on student's emotional wellbeing daily. * Help students understand their strengths and weaknesses #schoolcounseling #concordpirates #ARGUIDEforLife

This week is School Counselor Appreciation Week. We would like to take a moment to recognize and show our appreciation for our very own Mrs. Johnson. As many of you know, Mrs. Johnson was voted as the Elementary School Counselor of the Year for North Central Arkansas last year. This year she has taken on a new role as the K-12 counselor and has done a phenomenal job. We are truly blessed to have her guiding our students. Thank you Mrs. Johnson for all that you do for our students!
