On April 11th, 11 Concord students participated in the Arkansas Young Artist Association competition, a state-wide competition for different art making styles/methods. CHS had 2 students place in 3 different categories. Anna received honorable mention in expressive colored pencil for her jellyfish drawing. Amber received honorable mention in markers (all forms) for her Vans shoes and she also placed 4th altered books. Great job, ladies!

Ms. Courtney and Ms. Kim's 3 year old class had a VERY SPECIAL visitor last week. We sure love and miss our Ms. Rose!
For the safety of our students and faculty due to the possibility of severe weather during the time students will be on the bus, school will dismiss at 2:30 today.
Congrats to CHS for being in the top 5% in the state in student growth/graduation rate. The HS will receive approximately $20,000 in reward money for these efforts. Great job teachers and students!

The results came out today. CHS is rated an A school once again and the elementary was rated a B school. If you see our teachers, please thank them for the great work they do and let them know how much you appreciate them!!! They're the best!
Ms. Cash's 5th grade science students are learning about Earth's rotation. Today the students went outside and observed and drew their shadows at 3 different times throughout the day.
The First grade students at Concord Elementary read a book called Flat Stanley. Ms. Becerra's Flat Stanley in Charlotte, North Carolina with her daughters volleyball team from Queens University.

8th grade KeyCode students practiced their coding skills today. Students wrote code for a "robot" to stack the cups in a specific pattern.
