Superintendent's Welcome

Welcome to the 2019-20 school year. I am honored to serve as the Superintendent for the Concord School District! Our schools rank among some of the best academically and athletically in the state of Arkansas.

There are 305 high schools in Arkansas and CHS was ranked as the 10th best high school in the state by U.S. News with an overall score of 92.45, as well in the top 5% of secondary schools in the Nation. Our athletic teams are also very competitive with multiple state championships, state runner-ups, and consistent post-season play in both male and female sports. Our elementary school is also ranked among some of the best in Arkansas and is second in overall score in the area.

As the District Administrator my vision is simple; make our great schools even better. Working collaboratively with the school board, staff, students, parents and community members, we will set goals to make Concord Public Schools a better place to learn, a better place to work and part of a better community.

Each of our students come to us with unique needs, passions, and strengths. We aim to engage each student where they are, and partner with them to find their passion and fulfill their potential. I believe in the power of relationships and recognize that I am not alone in my role. Our staff are committed to their continuous learning and professional development to stay relevant and responsive to student needs. Concord School District is a learning organization and as the lead learner, it is important that I model what it means to take risks, accept challenges and work hard for what is best. I believe our students have endless possibilities in life and by setting high expectations, our students will strive to meet them.

Finally, I would like to thank our community for believing in us and blessing us with the privilege of educating your children. It is my job to ensure that students in our school district are cared for every day, and I will do my best to lead by example in this area.

Thank you,

Dr. Kenneth Moore, Superintendent
