Students enrolled in the Food Safety course at Concord High School recently earned the ServSafe Food Handler Certificate. This is a national certification that basic food safety knowledge and is for individuals in food handler employee-level positions. Upon successful completion of the ANSI ASTM 2659 accredited Food Handler course and 40-question exam, students receive a Certificate of Achievement from the National Restaurant Association that can provide better employment opportunities in food service institutions. Students pictured are Adela Herrera, Donna Anderson, and Sierra Richardson. Their instructor, Ms. Kimberley Sartain, Ed.S., is a certified proctor for the course and has taught Family and Consumer Sciences for 22 years.
